1. Who provides Frettko

Frettko is provided by NæsteFase, a Danish sole proprietorship (enkeltmandsvirksomhed), CVR 46848934, Lyngbyvej 83A, 2100 København Ø, Denmark (“we”). Contact: [email protected]. By using Frettko you agree to these terms. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

2. What Frettko is

Frettko is an app for learning vocabulary by ear: recordings of words, listening and repeating, quizzes and puzzles. The recordings are made with AI voices and reviewed by us. Frettko helps you learn words; it doesn't promise a particular level or result, and it isn't a replacement for a full language course.

3. Using Frettko with or without an account

You can use Frettko without an account. If you create one, give a real email address you can access, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. An account is for one person.

4. Free plan and Frettko+

• The free plan includes part of the content and daily limits. Frettko+ is a paid subscription that opens all content in every course, without daily limits. What each plan includes is shown in the app.
• You buy Frettko+ through the App Store or Google Play. The purchase is made with Apple or Google: they handle the payment, show the price in your currency, send the receipt, and their terms also govern your right of withdrawal and refunds as an EU consumer.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account; instructions are in Help. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. This doesn't affect any statutory rights you have.
• If you download Frettko from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

5. Free Frettko+ gifts

We sometimes give free Frettko+ time, for example 48 hours for every 7 days in a row that you learn. Gifts need no card, end automatically and have no cash value. We may change or end gift programmes in the future; a gift you already have runs until its end.

6. Fair use

Please don't misuse Frettko: don't try to get around paid features or limits, don't copy or scrape the content or recordings, don't interfere with the service or other users' accounts, and don't use Frettko for anything unlawful.

7. Content and rights

The app, its content, recordings, the Frettko character and the name Frettko belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them in the app for your own learning, not for commercial use. Open-source components and their licences are listed in the app's settings.

8. Changes and availability

We keep improving Frettko, so features, courses and content can be added, changed or removed. We change Frettko+ only for a valid reason, such as new features, improvements, legal or security requirements, or changes at our providers. If a change noticeably worsens your access to what Frettko+ includes, we'll tell you in advance, and you can end your subscription free of charge, with a refund for the unused part of a period you've paid for. We try to keep the app available at all times, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, for example during maintenance or outages at our providers.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer. Within those limits, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability towards you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending

You can stop using Frettko and delete your account at any time (how). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where we can, we'll warn you first and explain why. If we ever close an account with an active Frettko+ subscription for any other reason, you'll get a refund for the unused part of the period you've paid for.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update the date above. For important changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you don't agree with the changes, you can stop using Frettko and delete your account.

12. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country. Please contact us first; most problems can be solved by email. Consumers in Denmark can also complain to Nævnenes Hus (Forbrugerklagenævnet), and consumers elsewhere in the EU can get help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
